Family-owned Tatum Ridge Golf Links is a value favorite in Sarasota
SARASOTA, Fla. -- A local favorite for the last three decades, family-owned Tatum Ridge Golf Links is not only a good value (with green fees around $50 during peak season), but it's also extremely playable.
While this Ted McAnlis design isn't a pushover from the back tees at around 6,750 yards, the more forward tees allow for plenty of roll and run-up shots around the hazards.
McAnlis, who has crafted several courses in the area, gave Tatum Ridge sort of a Scottish links look at times, yet there are plenty of water hazards and trees to go with the smattering of bunkers.
The signature hole is the 504-yard, par-5 13th, a dogleg right, over water.
Amenities include a fully stocked pro shop, courteous staff, and restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, plus a phone on the ninth tee to order food at the turn. There are also ample practice facilities, which include grass tees, chipping green, practice bunker and an 18-hole putting green.
Tatum Ridge Golf Links is also the home of the Barry Cheesman Golf Academy.
